Service Ministry

The Paddy’s Van and our volunteers provide a weekly breakfast service at Decker Park, dinner at the Sandgate Community Centre, serve regular healthy breakfast options at a nearby Redcliffe school and a BBQ in Sandgate Village every second Saturday night.

Volunteer Programs

Tuesday Afternoon Tutoring - St Joseph’s Bracken Ridge
Each Tuesday afternoon our students travel to St Joseph’s to tutor students whose families have come to Australia as refugees.

Tuesday Morning Breakfast - Decker Park, Brighton
Each Tuesday morning a team of Year 8 students serve a BBQ breakfast to the park residents and others from nearby boarding houses.

Wednesday Dinner – Sandbag Community Centre
Each Wednesday evening a team of student volunteers and teachers serve dinner for those in the local area from Sandgate to Redcliffe sleeping rough or from nearby boarding houses. This is run in conjunction with Sandbag Community Centre who offer laundry and showers.

Thursday Morning Healthy Eating Breakfast
Each Thursday morning, as part of the Health & Physical Education and Religious Education curriculum, a team of Year 7 students prepare and deliver a healthy meal for students at Humpybong State School on the Redcliffe Peninsula.

Thursday afternoon Recycling Program
Every second Thursday afternoon a group of our Year 5 and Year 11 young men take recyclable items to the recycling centre at Sangate. This is a response to our community’s desire to care for our common home.

Saturday Night BBQ - Einbumpin Lagoon, Sandgate
Every second Saturday evening a team of students and parents host a BBQ for local residents and others from nearby boarding houses.

Paddy's Garden

An enthusiastic group of students work on maintaining a vegetable garden that educates them about sustainable environmental practices and also provides the vegetables which are then used to make the soup, pasta or curry served from the Paddy's Van.
