Teaching & Learning
The provision of a holistic education is a key focus at St Patrick’s College, this means we offer an education that develops boys into young men not just students into scholars. This includes the development and growth of the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical and cultural dimensions of our young men’s live. Our graduating class of 2016 were a fine example of this philosophy. Not only did this cohort achieve excellent results; 24% of students achieved an OP 1-5 whilst 71% achieved an OP 1-10, these young men were also great role models to younger students and greater contributors to the community.
Many of last year's senior students who undertook our VET pathway have continued with traineeships, apprenticeships or started full-time employment. The courses, skills and competencies they completed during their senior years will be most beneficial to them in their future years.
The NAPLAN results for our Year 5, 7 and 9 students are consistently well above average. An average of 98% of our students are at or above the National Minimum Standards across all the categories.
