Appointed, Director - Student Engagement and Well-Being

I am pleased to advise that Mr Matthew Robertson has been appointed to the new role of Director - Student Engagement and Well-Being at the College.  This role has been introduced to align with our strategic directions ensuring that we continue to offer a contemporary and inclusive education to all students within the College.

In this role, Matthew will facilitate the design and implementation of effective pastoral care and student formation across Years 5-12, particularly in the middle phases of learning (Years 7-9).  He will also assist and support staff with professional development practices so that we continue to offer an effective and sequential whole school approach to the care, well-being, and formation of all our students within the College.

Matthew will also work closely and collaboratively with our Dean of Students and the Pastoral and Formation teams as well as other key stakeholders such as Parents and Caregivers.

As well as working at St Patrick’s, Matthew has also worked at Ignatius Park College, St Joseph’s Nudgee College, and St Joseph’s College Gregory Terrace.  He has also been a practising lawyer.  Matthew has the experience, competence and skills needed to continue to move our programs to meet the future needs of our students, families, and staff.

Matthew will commence in this role at the beginning of Term 3 (Monday 12 July).  We will start recruiting for his replacement as House Dean – Xavier House, in the coming days, to also commence on that date.

Live Jesus in our Hearts!
