Cultural Capers Week 28
The debating season drew to a close at St Patrick’s on Thursday night with the College playing host to round four of the QDU Junior Secondary Competition.
The 7.1 team played out a dead rubber debate against Narangba Valley State High School after a QDU Adjudicator failed to attend the debate.
The boys had their first taste of short preparation debating where teams are given a topic with one hour to produce arguments and speeches. Alex Jones, James Joseph and Tom Sinclair all rose to the challenge well. All Year 7 debaters who took part in 2018 have strong futures in the program.
