Art Club Capers…

In recent weeks during Art Club on Friday afternoons, we have been busily working on entering the ‘Einbunpin Lagoon Sign Competition’.

It was a competition where students had the opportunity to participate in designing new signs for the Einbunpin Lagoon. These signs were designed to persuade visitors to the Einbunpin Lagoon to enjoy the wildlife there without feeding them. Currently a number of these signs are being ignored. Whilst our students didn’t win, one student was recognised and ‘Highly Commended’.

Big congratulations to Nicholas Mancini in Year 8 for his artistic efforts. His poster will be on display at the Sandgate Library until next week. If you get an opportunity go and have a look!

Currently Art Club is working on a group collaboration of multiple mixed media techniques. These will be collaged to create an image of an animal. Images will range from a dog, cat, or bird.

Keep posted as more images will be released upon completion!
