It has certainly been a very busy couple of weeks with many events occurring for both staff and students, wonderfully supported by the parents in many ways. We have seen our students in particular, participating and contributing to Back to Shorncliffe Day and Open Day. The messages and acknowledgment from prospective parents was fantastic. This weekend are important games for both codes of football against Iona College. The young men continue to show pride in the Green and Gold by performing to the best of their ability which has been a hallmark of Term 2 sport.

A general reminder that the College has definite guidelines and protocols for student leaving school early for appointments. If parents need to pick up their sons from the College during the day, it is important to follow the normal procedures of:

  • Write a note in their son’s diary
  • Students must show their Group Tutor and House Dean
  • Inform the class teacher and show them their note
  • Sign out at the Student Office
  • Parents must pick up their son at the Student Office

Parents should not be going to classrooms to retrieve their sons. I have asked teaching staff to redirect parents to the Student Office. These protocols are designed for the protection of all students.Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
