On Saturday, at Coops Tennis Centre, the St Patrick’s College Tennis Championships will be played. Many early rounds have already been completed with semi-finals and finals being played. Good luck to the students still alive in the draw and a big thank you to the many students who participated in this year’s championships. Students should check their email to confirm times and opponents for Saturday. Parents and community are very welcome to attend.

Last weekend our basketball teams defeated Marist College Ashgrove in the aggregate points. For those new to our community this means we won more games than Ashgrove across the aggregate teams. In a hard fought 1st V game the two undefeated teams played an entertaining basketball game. Unfortunately, our players gave up the lead going into the fourth quarter to be run down by a well-disciplined Ashgrove squad. The AIC basketball competition is a very competitive competition this year so our 1st and other teams will continue fighting hard to finish high on the point’s ladder. Our 7A had another win and remain undefeated in the competition.
Br. Chris Pritchard, Tennis Coordinator, was pleased with our tennis squads improved performance last Saturday against Ashgrove. Our 2nd IV continued their winning streak. Our tennis players continue to train consistently and with enthusiasm and are enjoying the season. Sometimes results don’t always go your way!

No AIC Basketball or Tennis is played this weekend. Round 5 of the competition continues next Friday and Saturday against St Edmund’s.
