School to Work Transition Programs
The Vocational Education Department here at College has been working closely with the Queensland Department of Education and Training over the past two years assisting students to gain entry level skills (and in some instances employment offers) in a variety of industry areas.
Some of the industry areas who are offering training and experience opportunities through this program include the Automotive Industry (Light and Heavy Vehicle), Health Care Industry, Building and Construction, Horticulture, Hospitality and Electrotechnology among others.
This program is called SVETE – School + VET = Employment – and has been well attended by many students from this College. The department is now looking at the 2018 set of programs. These programs are targeted at students in Years 11 and/or 12 in 2018. There are differing entry points for each program.
Information sessions to explain the details of these opportunities are about to commence. The most convenient local session will be held on Attendance at one of these sessions is highly recommended. If you are interested in attending
please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Detailed information about these programs are available on the attached brochures.
