On Friday 31 March, the Shore 2 Gate (S2G) fundraising event is being held. This day is considered a Special Event Day, this means any student who is absent must have a medical certificate. S2G is an annual event designed to promote a sense of community, have some fun and to raise some money. All students are to wear their sports uniform. The day will begin with an Easter Liturgy followed by the S2G and then a sausage sizzle lunch. This is a normal school day and all students are expected to be in attendance. I ask families to support the College and not have their son/s commence holidays a day early. To further strengthen our community we strongly encourage parents to join us for any, or all of the day’s activities.

Important: Students will be dismissed from the College at 12:30pm on the day. Normal buses have been organised to collect students at this time. Please ensure you discuss with your son his transport arrangements once he has been dismissed from school.

The previous years’ fundraising from the S2G has contributed to our Houses’ service projects, further developed our archive collection located in the Jack Stevens Room, and provided additional plaza type facilities with more shade and seating for the students and new bubblers with taps.

We are now aiming to raise over $60,000 in 2017 which will afford the College an opportunity to improve the facilities for our young men whilst also supporting a tremendous range of groups who are less fortunate than our community through our service programs and projects. It is expected that every student aims to raise a minimum of $40. If this minimum amount is raised by every student, then we will be able to contribute significantly to the ongoing development of the College and the wider community.

All donation cards and money should be handed in by Thursday 30 March.
