Music

Attention All Parents of Year 5 and 6 students:

Regarding Instrumental Classroom Music – Instrument Handovers

All students in year 5 and 6 must return their loaned instrument to the school before the Christmas Holidays. It is important that this process is followed through so that they can be serviced and ready to go for January 2017. The instruments are to be handed back on the following dates:

Year 5 students: Thursday 24th November (directly after the year 5 morning tea)

Year 6 students: Week of Monday 21st November (During regular music lessons in the final week of term)

Please ensure your son brings his instrument to school for the return day. If your son has a large instrument that he leaves at home during the term (such as a cello or tuba) it is especially important that arrangements are made to return the instrument. If you would like to arrange an alternate time to drop these larger instruments off, please contact Kelly Jensen on kjensen@stpatricks.qld.edu.au

It is extremely important that all instruments are collected before the end of the school year. If the instrument has been lost or misplaced, the policy states that you must pay for the value of that instrument. This will be followed up once all instruments have been counted and inventoried.

If there is a problem or you would like to discuss any aspect of this process please don’t hesitate to contact me.
