AIC Cricket and Volleyball Round 1 against Iona saw both St. Patrick's first's teams record strong wins. This is a tremendous start to our sporting year. Special thanks to the Paddies Battalion who turned up in full voice to lift the enthusiasm of our players.

Special mention to Mr Ryan Schultz (Cricket Coordinator), Cricket coaches and all our student Cricketers. St. Patrick's won 9 of the 12 aggregate games. Last year the result was only 4 of 12 against Iona. The many hours spent training, touring and participating in trial matches has certainly paid off.

Many students are interested in trialing for Bramble Bay (students born 2005, 2004, 2003) and Metropolitan North (students born 2002 and later) sporting teams. Every effort is made to advertise upcoming trials to students via emails and student messages. Students must visit the Metropolitan North website to view trial dates, venues and expectations. Trial permission forms are available from staff at the Sports Office located in the school gym. Representative teams are age based. If a student is under age they must be of a very high standard to warrant participation at trials.

The SPC swimmers compete at Ashgrove this Friday night. Some fast times were recorded at last week's St Peters Lutheran College meet. Hard work at training pays off!
