As a part of their study of water in our world this term, Year 7 Geography students participated in an excursion to the Wivenhoe Dam’s Visitor Information Centre and Water Treatment Facility. The students were given the opportunity to learn about the importance of the Dam and the water treatment process that occurs to ensure that the water is safe to drink for the residents of Brisbane. Students also completed their own water testing using equipment supplied by SEQ water. One group was lucky enough to be visiting the Dam on the same day that Totally Wild were filming so some of our students may find themselves on television!

A big thank you to our parent volunteers and staff for supporting this event. Students will now be using what they have learnt from the excursion to complete their Geography assessment tasks this term.
