Structured Workplace Learning or Work Placement is an integral part of some VET courses conducted at St Patrick’s College. This program allows students to go out into the workforce for one day each week to experience life in a range of different workplaces, giving students the knowledge and experience to make informed decisions about future career choices.

At present, the College is looking to expand its list of potential Host Employers to assist with this program. If you are in a position to offer a student this valuable experience, we would love to hear from you.

There is no costs associated with being a Host Employer and all insurances are looked after by the College. All you need to be able to provide is a safe work environment and someone to show our students what work is like in your industry or workplace. The hours are flexible and should fit in with your normal work day. Students attend one day each week, during term time.

If you can assist with this program, or would like to find some more detailed information, please contact Mr Phil Webb, Program Leader - VET on +617 3631 9065 or email . Alternatively, you can contact the Work Placement Officer, Ms Sandra Harrison on +617 3631 9054 or by email at
