On Saturday 10 October 2015, the heart of Sandgate will come alive as teams of runners and walkers do laps of the main roundabout, while spectators enjoy the festivities and cheer on the participants. This year, they have added a Junior Relay and Kids Dash, so the whole family can take part.

The College's very own Shorncliffe Shufflers already have two teams locked in. Proud parent Mr Andy Sides and incredible past parent (and wife of our Board Chair) Mrs Elaine McMahon are coordinating so it is sure to be a slickly run event.

Kids aged 9 years and under will kick off the event in the afternoon, with one lap of the roundabout, before 10 to 15-year-olds relay in a 30-minute race. Then at 6pm, it's the main event, with 400 runners to relay for 2 hours around the roundabout. It's an event of stamina, tactics and fun. Dress-ups and costumes are encouraged for young and old, participants and spectators alike.

2015 will feature children's entertainment, jumping castle, face painting, glow merchandise, live music, markets and food.
