Last Saturday saw the conclusion to the 2015 AIC football season with a successful round of matches against St Edmund's College, Ipswich. We finished the day with 4 premierships and an overall aggregate placing in the top 4. This has been by far the most successful season of football in St. Patrick's history. Congratulations must go to the following teams, coaches and parents for securing AIC premierships; 9A coached by Mr Luigi Cordova, 10A coached by Mr Kyle Henderson, 3 rd XI coached by Br. Chris Pritchard and the 1st XI coached by Mr Gary Ward and Mr Jackson Alves. Recognition must also go the 5D football team, coached by Mr Jonathan Miers, for an undefeated season.

Furthermore, the manner in which all SPC teams played the game is perhaps more pleasing than simply winning. We have developed a style of football that has become synonymous with our College and is connected to our overall aim to develop Men of Humility. I must congratulate all players, coaches and families for upholding our proud traditions at all times and demonstrating a high level of sportsmanship both on and off the field. It is often said that sport is a formational experience for our young men and this season has only served to reinforce that sentiment. I look forward with eager anticipation to next year.
