Morven-Day-1.jpg?mtime=20160429143005#asBr Brian Saward was a young first day, 20 year old Brother, at St. Patrick's College, Shorncliffe, on the 29 January 1952, having just come off the train that morning rushing to arrive on time for school.

Br Saward designed our College Crest, and gave us the College Motto, and with Br Eymard Rogers, chose the College colours of Green and Gold.

Through the years Br Saward was a devoted admirer and attendee at College Speech Nights or Nights of Excellence until 2014. He was heavily involved over the years with Manual Arts of which our current Design Technology Building is named.

Br Saward spent another 18 years in Boarding Schools around Queensland and the last 20 years assisting all EREA Colleges around Australia with Government regulations concerning Workplace and Safety. Br Saward was seen out walking on Monday evening, 12 January having just returned from his Gold Coast Christmas holiday with the Brothers and died in his sleep from a heart attack sometime during the early hours of Tuesday 13 January. May he Rest In Peace.
