Thank you so much to those mothers, grandmothers and significant women in our young men’s lives, for taking the time out of your busy schedules to join us for the Mother Son Afternoon Tea last Wednesday. It was a lovely afternoon and the feedback has been overwhelming.

We would especially like to thank Madonna King for sharing the afternoon with us. Her stories about mother’s love were both interesting and relatable, and her advice to our young men on relationships, respect and cyberspace were invaluable. We also thank our sponsors – Sandgate Real Estate and Snap Fitness Sandgate, without their support the afternoon would not have been the success that it was. We also acknowledge our wonderful prize donors, parent volunteers and students who assisted on the afternoon.

The event was also a fundraiser for the St Patrick’s College Foundation. By the end of 2019 we hope to be in a position to replace the 15 year old Paddy’s Van and trailer. This vital service not only supports the poor and marginalised in our community, but also assists our young men to stand in solidarity with those on the margins of society. It’s a unique way for them to be real “Men of Action” and contribute to their community. As a result of your generosity on Wednesday, we were able to raise $2,640 which will be the first donation to our 2019 Paddy's Van Appeal.

To support the wonderful work of the Paddy’s Van, please consider making a donation to the 2019 Paddy’s Van appeal via the Paddy's Van Appeal button below (need to insert). All donations over $2 are tax deductible.

Thank you once again for your support and we look forward to bringing you our Father’s Day breakfast on Wednesday 28 August. Keep your eye out for further details.
