From the Director of Teaching and Learning - Years 7-12

Senior Pathway Planning in Action
This term has been a particularly busy and important one, as students have been preparing for their Junior and Senior Education and Training Plans and making thoughtful decisions about their future pathways and subject selections for the Senior phase of learning. These are significant milestones, and it has been encouraging to see students engaging so positively in this process.
Our Year 8 and 9 (2027) Parent Information Evening, along with the Year 10 and 11 (2027) Subject Expo, were both successful events that provided valuable guidance and support for students and families as they navigate these important choices. The strong attendance and engagement on the night reflected the importance of this stage in our students’ learning journeys.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our Heads of Faculty and Mr Chris Herrod- Director of Skills and Pathways, whose expertise and commitment have been instrumental in ensuring students and families have access to clear, current, and relevant information. Their contributions to both the Year 10 Careers program and the Subject Expo have been invaluable in supporting students to make informed and confident decisions about their futures.

Planning For Your Future - SPC Future Focus Careers Expo
Mark your calendars for Wednesday 22 July and get ready for an exciting opportunity at the SPC Future Focus Careers Expo. This highly anticipated event will bring together a diverse range of industry professionals, tertiary providers, and SPC Old Boys, all eager to share their experiences, insights, and advice with our students.
It promises to be an inspiring afternoon, offering valuable guidance and real-world perspectives to support students as they explore future pathways and career possibilities. Our sister schools of St John Fischer and Mary Mackillop Colleges have also been invited to join us to be part of this exciting event. We look forward to seeing our students and their families as they start planning for their future.
